Zarbdar Terms of Use

Effective 3 October 2026

These terms apply to Zarbdar, a word game for Android and the web ("the game"), made by DEVELOPER_NAME ("we", "us"). By installing or playing the game you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

Using the game

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial enjoyment. The game is free. It has no ads and no in-app purchases. An account is optional (see below).

Please don't copy, sell, rent or redistribute the game, remove its notices, or try to reverse engineer it except where the law allows you to.

Your progress and account

Without an account, your level, scores and settings are stored only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). We can't see them and can't recover them for you: uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes them.

On zarbdar.app you may sign in with Google to keep your progress online. Keep your Google account secure; anyone signed in to it can use your Zarbdar progress. You can delete your account at any time from the game's About page. We may suspend an account that is used to attack or abuse the service, and we keep the online save on a best-effort basis: it is a convenience, not a guarantee.

Words and content

The game decides which words it accepts using a word list and dictionary data from third parties (credited in the game's About page). We filter out offensive words, but no list is perfect, and a word being accepted or refused says nothing about its meaning or use. If you find a word that should not be there, please tell us.

Ownership

The game, its name, logo, design and code belong to us. Parts of it are third-party material used under their own licences, which are listed on the game's About page; those licences apply to those parts. Music in the game is used under the Pixabay Content License.

No warranty

The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don't promise it will be error-free, always available, or that your progress will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the game, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for it (which is nothing). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Google Play

If you got the game from Google Play, Google's own terms also apply to that download. Google is not responsible for the game or for these terms.

Changes

We may update the game and these terms. If we change the terms, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of GOVERNING_LAW, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
